Our youngest campers (Kindergarten through 2nd) will discover the magic of theatre by using their "instruments" - body, voice and imagination- for creative, dramatic self-expression. Curriculum includes elements of storytelling, music, and movement that will get students creativity going in a fun and interactive setting. A perfect intro to the world of theatrical imagination & play!

Youtheatre is excited to bring you this exciting collaboration with the Embassy Theatre. Participants in LET’S PUT ON A SHOW! Camp will do exactly that- PUT ON A SHOW! While auditions will be held for specific roles, everyone’s in the cast as Youtheatre directors lead them through auditioning, rehearsing and performing. SEUSSICAL Kids is great fun for the whole family, transporting audiences from the Jungle of Nool to the Circus McGurkus. Horton the Elephant, the Cat in the Hat and all of your favorite Dr. Seuss characters spring to life in a fantastical musical extravaganza. Oh the thinks you can think…when you think about Seuss and this 30-minute adaptation of the hit musical!

Musical Theatre Camp
Session 1: June 10 - 14 (M - F: 10am- 2pm)

For Incoming 5th-12th Graders
$200 (or $350 for Both Weeks)
The two most glorious words in the English language- “Musical Theatre!” Spend one OR two weeks strengthening your vocal technique, honing your acting chops and expanding your dance skills. While learning both classic and modern musical theatre, students will rotate through musical theatre performance, choreography and vocal performance with the directors and music directors of Youtheatre and the choreographers of Fort Wayne Dance Collective. We highly recommend taking this as a two-week camp, but it can be taken as a one week experience.

Come find your place in the spotlight! This one or two-week camp provides an extraordinary theatre experience and actor training with some of the leading teaching artists in our area. Students are grouped by age and rotate daily through a series of labs on acting, movement, improv, script reading, creating characters and more. All of these skills will come into play as students rehearse, memorize and perform their own short scenes and one acts on the final day.

SCORE! is a devised, mentor-led theater workshop with music held every July. This collaboration between Youtheatre and the Embassy Theatre provides an intense and rigorous creative experience in which young people will devise, create and produce an original musical production on the stage of the historic Embassy Theatre through a unique peer driven collaborative approach to creating theatre. Whether your passion is acting, singing, writing or directing, this one-of-a-kind camp is for you!

Youtheatre is excited to participate in this weeklong day camp for artists entering Kindergarten through 5th grade presented by First Pres in partnership with the Fort Wayne Ballet Auer Academy and the Fort Wayne Children’s Choir. Campers will spend time exploring the creative worlds of Music, Art, Drama, and Dance. An on-stage showcase and reception will be held Friday night in the First Presbyterian Theater. Registration via First Presbyterian Church.
