School Shows

The Fort Wayne Youtheatre strives to produce fun and exciting shows with great educational value. It is part of our mission to incorporate literature-based reading into our main-stage productions. Our shows are chosen from recommended lists of children’s classics and naturally connect with elementary/ middle school state standards for Language Arts in Indiana. Exposure to the theatre assists in the cultural development of young people, and attending a live performance is a novel and exciting way to educate your students!

General FAQS

What if there is Inclement Weather?

If there is inclement weather for your school where closures or delays happen, please note show times will NOT change.

Please contact Megan Ebbeskotte at admin@fortwayneyoutheatre.org to re-schedule your reservation or receive a refund.

Where do we Park?

Parking can be found on the side of the building, or across the street at the Arts United Center & Museum of Art.

How Long is the Show?

All of our shows run between 70-90 minutes. More approximate times can be given closer to the show.

Is there a Place to Eat Lunch?

There is not a place to eat at the Parkview Physicians Group ArtsLab Theatre or Embassy Theatre. If the weather permits, we suggest Freimann Square Park right next to the Arts United Center.

Will there be a Talkback?

There will be a 10-15 minute talkback following each show. If you need to leave before this please let a staff member know and exit the theatre quietly.

Can we Tour the Building?

We unfortunately do not offer tours of the building before or after a show, due to scheduling conflicts. If you would like to tour the Arts United Center at some other time, please submit a request here.

Who's allowed to buy tickets?

All Public, Private and Homeschool groups are welcome to purchase tickets to any one of our school shows.

If you can't make a school performance we offer special group rates of 10+ people for all 4 of our main stage shows.
