About

Beginning Drama: Play & Pantomime

Fall Semester | Sept. 10 - Nov 12

Saturdays | 10:00 - 11:00am

Grades 4th - 5th

They call them plays for a reason! In this class students will learn different ways to use the different parts of their instrument- voice, brain and BODY- through games, exercises and pantomimes. Actors will also expand their expression and performance skills through the development, rehearsal and performance of their own pantomime pieces, while providing peer feedback and self-critique during the rehearsal and revision process. Come play!

While Play & Pantomime is the theme of our class, it is not the entire class. Students will still be working on basic fundamentals of the stage and acting including stage presence, improv, movement, public speaking, etc. This course takes a games approach to the theatre.

Instructor: Reuben Albaugh
