About
Creative Drama: Despicable You: Villains & Their Minions
Spring Semester | February 24 - May 4
Saturdays | 9:30 - 10:25am
Grades 2nd - 3rd
“Doesn’t it feel so good to be bad?” -Scarlet Overkill. Playing the bad guy can be a lot of fun; and every great baddie needs a sidekick. Every Jafar needs his Iago, every Cruella her Jasper & Horace, every Mr. Burns his Smithers, and every Gru his minions. This class uses such deliciously drawn characters and relationships to teach basic stage skills, theatrical movement and characterization. Take one semester or both, featuring all new games, lessons and scenes. “C’est banana!”
While Despicable You: Villains & Their Minions is the theme of our class, it is not the entire class. Students will still be working on basic fundamentals of the stage and acting including stage presence, improv, movement, public speaking, etc. This course takes a games approach to the theatre.
