Bored and looking to sharpen some of your acting skills from home?  Youtheatre's E-cademy invites you to join instructor Christopher J. Murphy for a series of online workshops learning and practicing dialects/accents commonly used by American actors.  Using the online platform Zoom, each 40- 50 minute workshop will be limited to 10 students so that everyone has an opportunity to learn, try, get feedback and grow in a supportive and fun environment.  

The Italian accent is for more than opera and the mafia.  Italians are known for their heartiness and zest for life, which comes through in the way they speak.  So grab a bowl of pasta and get ready for a great time learning this distinct and fun dialect!

Murphy got his first stage role at age 10 because he was the only kid in 5th grade who could do a German accent!  As a character actor, he's spent his life studying a host of dialects and looks forward to sharing with you!
