In this semester-long class, we will craft compelling stories and build your own theatrical worlds through this playwriting workshop for aspiring writers, actors and lovers of theatre. Using writing prompts and other interactive games and activities, students will learn to write dialogue, set scenes, create characters and communicate emotions through expressive language. Students will create their own monologues and get to rewrite the end of a play.
*Since this class will be taught through Zoom, participants will need to have access to email, a reliable internet connection, as well as paper and pencils for the in-class writing exercises.
Even if you have taken playwrighting before, this class and its lessons are a great way to keep flexing your writing skills and creative skills.
