Spring Semester |  March 23 - April 13

(Off March 30th for Spring Break)

Saturdays | 3:00-5:00pm

Grades 6th - 12th

What you wear can say a lot. The hair, makeup, jewelry, clothing and accessories of a character can communicate so much to audience before a word is ever spoken. This course will focus on finding those character details in a script, creating designs, choosing fabrics and materials, gaining the vocabulary to effectively explain design choices, and leave students with an understanding and appreciation for costume design! Along the way, students will have the opportunity to design the costumes for Youtheatre's mainstage production of Ruby Bridges. No drawing experience required.

Instructor: Morgan Montgomery, "Ruby Bridges" Costume Designer
