About

Voice for the Stage: Broadway's Golden Age

Spring Semester | February 24 - May 4

(Off March 30th for Spring Break)

Saturdays | 11:00 - 11:55am

Grades 2nd - 5th

“Come on along and listen to (and SING) the Lullaby of Broadway!”  After Rodgers & Hammerstein pioneered the stage musical with Oklahoma!, Broadway of the 1950s and 60s overflowed with classic shows like My Fair Lady, Fiddler on the Roof, The Sound of Music and more.  We will be exploring our sound as a group and as individuals with songs from this Golden Age!   Participants will play an important role in creating our end of semester presentation.  A perfect continuation for those enrolled in fall semester and a great “first taste” for new students.

*Note: Students may take one, but are strongly encouraged to take both semesters. This class is a great stepping stone toward our Pre-Musical Theatre & Musical Theatre classes.

Instructor: Alyssa Plisco

*Registration Note: Please make sure you type in your email address correctly. If you do not receive a confirmation email for your class registration after 2 hours, please contact us at admin@fortwayneyoutheatre.org so we can update your email. This will be our main source of communication.
