Spring Semester | Mar. 2 - May 11

(Off April 5th for Spring Break)

Wednesdays | 4:30 - 5:30pm

Grades 5th - 12th

In this semester-long class, we will craft compelling stories and build your own theatrical worlds through this playwriting workshop for aspiring writers, actors and lovers of theatre. Using writing prompts and other interactive games and activities, students will learn to write dialogue, set scenes, create characters and communicate emotions through expressive language. Students will create their own monologues and get to rewrite the end of a play. Even if you have taken playwriting before, this class and its lessons are a great way to keep flexing your writing skills and creative skills.

Instructor: Todd Espeland
