Youtheatre is proud to sell tickets using the ArtsTix Community Box Office!  The box office allows for online ticket sales, a full ticketing staff and advanced software!  This year, there will be a $1 fee per Child ticket and a $2 fee per Adult ticket on all shows.

The popular story by C. S. Lewis about the magical land of Narnia. An adventure with talking animals, mythical creatures, and the White Witch.

“The Steadfast Tin Soldier”

The Steadfast Tin Solider (1)

In 1934 Youtheatre opened our doors with “The Steadfast Tin Soldier,” our very first production! Hans Christian Andersen’s heartwarming story of a toy soldier’s struggle to win the heart of his ballerina true love! Staged in the beautiful Parkview Physicians Group ArtsLab  featuring an original dance by the Fort Wayne Ballet.

“The Kid From Kokomo; The Ryan White Story”

(An original Youtheatre Premiere by local playwright Gregory Stieber)

In 1985 Hoosier middle-school student and AIDS patient, Ryan White, was denied an education in Kokomo. What transpired was a heroic story of overcoming obstacles and what counts for true character.

The classic from the Brothers Grimm! A curse from an evil witch on a beautiful princess brings 100 years of sleep. Some fairies and a magical kiss from a handsome prince brings happily ever after.*

An original music written by local artists Nancy Carlson Dodd & Betsy Chapman for Youtheatre 20 years ago! A group of kids have a pirate adventure thanks to a magic stone!*

Second Annual Fairy Tale Fest May 16th

We end our 80th Anniversary Season in May with our second annual Fairy Tale Fest featuring four different performances for one low ticket price. Youtheatre will present “Sleeping Beauty” on the Arts United main stage, and “Magic Pebble Gang” in the Auer Black Box Theatre. The Dance Collective will have a production on the Museum of Art Stage, and the Ballet will dance a Fairy Tale in the Auer Ballet Studio. FAME will host the Imagination Station, a hands-on craft tent with costuming, puppets, and face painting! The fest includes food vendors as families and friends enjoy a full day of arts on the downtown campus.
