Youtheatre’s Third Annual

Fairy Tale Fest on May 14th 2016!

The Third Annual Fairy Tale Fest will feature FOUR performances by THREE organizations on Four different stages; Arts United Center, Parkview Physicians Group ArtsLab (Auer Center Black Box Theatre), the Fort Wayne Museum of Art’s stage, and the Fort Wayne Ballet’s Studio! Youtheatre, Fort Wayne Ballet, the Fort Wayne Dance Collective, and MORE combine their talents for one festival!

“Alice in Wonderland”

Down she goes into the rabbit hole! The favorite tale by Lewis Carroll comes alive on stage with all of the charm, wit, and comedic characters! Long considered to be one of the best examples of the literary nonsense genre!

Audition Workshop: Both FTF Shows | April 12 & 13 | 4-7pm

Performance Location: Arts United Center

May 13: 9:30 & 11:30am (Special School Shows)

May 13: 7pm (Pre Show Party upstairs in the Ian Rolland Gallery of Arts United)

“The Magnificent Plan”

An original adaptation by local playwright, Nancy Carlson Dodd. Who’s afraid of the big bad wolf? A hilarious, refashioned version of “The Three Little Pigs.”

As Part of the Kickstart Festival in May, families will enjoy performances by multiple organizations, FAME will offer hands on arts & crafts, T.A.G. Art Company’s face painting, live Storybook Characters and more! Kickstart celebrates health via mind, body, and spirit! Mad-Lib! Join the fun!

 StoryBook Theatre is at it again- only this time, YOU’RE a part of the story! Help cast members complete the story by filling in the blank on the unique MadLib Scripts! Explore the worlds of “Cinderella,” the “Three Little Pigs,” “Rapunzel,” “Little Red Riding Hood,” and the “Princess and the Blank” by becoming a part of the play! Participants of all ages are encouraged to participate by visiting our stationary troupe in the Arts United Center or by finding our travelling troupe before each of the Fairy Tale Fest performances!

The enchanting princesses will be mingling with the crowd and posing for pictures with Youtheatre’s NEW Interactive Castle!

Blackrose Parties is providing the live princesses and indoor snowball playtime! Visit our area in the Arts United Center to see Winter Princess, Tinkerbelle, Icey Queen and Princess Sophy.  They’re bringing lots of sparkle and fun!
