Fort Wayne Youtheatre is one of the oldest children's theatres in the country and has a long tradition of providing children in Fort Wayne and the surrounding area with theatre experiences. Each generous gift we receive will help us continue our mission to present theatre that is literature based, historically significant, socially engaging, and extremely entertaining.
PERFORMANCES
Each year Youtheatre produces four professional productions which utilize youth as our primary artists and technicians. Over the last nine years our productions have reached nearly 56,500 audience members and have engaged the talents of over 2500 youth actors and technicians.
WHAT WE DO
CLASSES AND CAMPS
Youtheatre offers ten-week classes in the spring and fall, and summer camps, that provide comprehensive training in all aspects of theatre from performance to technical production.
OUTREACH
Our Arts-in-Education outreach consists of performances and classes done in partnership with schools, youth centers and community collaborations such as Boys/Girls Clubs, Cornerstone (EACS), FW Urban League, Turnstone, area Brightpoints and Audiences Unlimited.
